//If you submit an abstract to a meeting, please reserve a hotel right away to ensure you get the discounted meeting rates.  If you don’t, you will have to ensure that your faculty sponsor and the division will approve your travel. Most places will allow you to cancel your reservation up to 24 hours prior to the meeting.  You can cancel without penalty if you don’t get an accepted abstract or are unable to make it. We would like to encourage you all to present at meetings, and I’d like to encourage you all to be proactive about making your travel arrangements.// -- Dr. Chong 2/28/19

//I would like to encourage you to be proactive and plan for your travel to the meetings that we send you to attend. If the flights are not booked at least one month prior to the meeting, you will not be allowed to attend.  The arrangements must be made through Concur.  There will not be a make-up meeting for you to attend.  For meetings that we send you to, you are allowed to attend the entire meeting. If you have an abstract accepted to a meeting, you will have to get approval from the PI and the program director to attend the entire meeting.
